View Job DetailsWXOW and its sister stations are seeking a highly motivated IT Specialist for its award-winning, state of the art broadcast facility. As a key member of the IT team, the IT Specialist will provide and perform all information technology support under the supervision of the Regional IT Manager for the stations including IT policies and procedures, equipment maintenance for WAN/LAN/VPN, wireless access points, domain controllers, Cisco VOIP phone systems and PC workstations.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Active Directory management
- Desktop support for local and remote users
- Design, implement and maintain computer/network security policies
- Work with corporate engineering and 3rd party vendors to configure, install, and maintain switches, routers, servers, NAS and other hardware and software
- Provide capital budgetary support and advice for selection and replacement of equipment
Skills preferences and requirements:
- Degree in IT related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
- Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA and other industry certifications are a plus
- Experience with Active Directory administration, remote deskop applications, VPN, and Google Workspace desired
- Experience in braodcast television or a related field preferred
- Experience with Imagine automation, Ross Overdrive and Vantage transcoding system a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. Occasional climbing, kneeling, and crawling may be required for cable installations. Position requires a driver's license. Travel to sister stations Eau Claire, Wausau and Madison, and other company properties is required. Typical hours are Monday-Friday; however, all engineering staff and IT staff are on call 24/7. Regional IT Manager will set after hour policies.

A technical media producer works behind the scenes of our newscasts and behind the scenes of our on-air programming. Responsibilities include graphic design, video editing, live newscast directing, live newscast audio board operating, master control monitoring, entering video into our system, qaulity control, clear communication, as well as other tasks as needed.
On-the-job training will be provided. Experience is preferred but not required.

We are looking for someone who will dig for stories, cultivate contacts, and engross themselves in our community. This position requires on-camera reporting, photojournalism, and non-linear editing. Fill-in anchoring opportunities are available.
This position is great for someone who has a team attitude and can provide a confident, trustworthy, and fair presence both on-air and in the field. A successful candidate will work efficiently under pressure and be able to cover breaking news and will receive personal feedback on a regular basis.
Applicants must have a degree in Journalism or a related multimedia field. The ideal candidate will embrace social media by producing content for on-air, online, and mobile platforms. A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record is required.
