Payroll Coordinator
Broadcast media company is searching for a payroll team member to be responsible for the biweekly, multi-state payroll processing for 23 TV stations.
Description & Qualifications:
Broadcast media company is searching for a payroll team member to be responsible for the biweekly, multi-state payroll processing for 23 TV stations. Candidate will work in the Accounting Service Center along with the current Payroll Manager and Payroll Coordinator. Responsibilities to include:
- Process and review payroll processing for entire company (1,300+ employees)
- Preparation and customization of reports using ADP Workforce Now Comprehensive payroll
- Assists with payroll-related activities during acquisitions.
- Process garnishments with multiple orders in place; understanding the order of priorities
- Support workflows to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Research and correct issues found during payroll processing
- Ensure data integrity and follow quality control measures for data accuracy
- Run pre-employment background checks
- Update and maintain all station employee files via ADP Document Cloud
- Set up new hires in ADP Workforce Now
- Process terminations, increases, promotions etc., for all stations
- Maintain all stations PTO, vacation, sick, and personal policies in ADP Workforce Now
- Maintain holiday policies in ADP Workforce Now
A minimum ONE year of experience in payroll is preferred. Experience with ADP Workforce Now if preferred, but not required. Candidate must have both excellent written and verbal communication skills, as they will be required to have regular contact with all the stations. Candidate must be highly motivated and detail-oriented, as well as efficient and hardworking. The successful candidate must have the adequate computer skills to use company payroll software and methods. The ability to work together as part of a team is critical. Work environment will be shared with other payroll department staff.
Terms of Employment: This is a full-time position during regular business hours with possible required overtime during critical projects

Description:
- Assist Engineering department with day-to-day duties & on-call support. Work in a small team that manages all aspects of systems - from user support to servers, networks and Telecom
- First responder to system outages – must keep systems running, live, and on-the-air 24/7
- Provide support for all servers, desktops and notebooks and MS operating systems enterprise wide, including Active Directory maintenance, DNS and VPN support, Mac OS X environment support, backup support, and meeting with vendors
- Work to continually improve operational processes and other departmental processes?
- Responsible for support and the implementation of system enhancements (software and hardware updates) as well as Cyber Security, anti-virus protection, etc.
- Implement & support company security policies, including group policies & anti-virus support
- 40 hours a week with possibilities of overtime. This may vary depending on projects, vacations, or technical issues
Qualifications:
- Degree in IT related field & work experience preferred, experience in broadcast television a plus
- Must have experience with Virtual Machine software such as VMware, Hyper-V, etc.
- Knowledge of AD, GPO/?GPMC, network protocols preferred
- Windows XP/?7 administration?, Windows 2K3/?2K8 Server administration 2 yrs.+?
- Strong Windows Desktop support, Macintosh support, and management skills
- Strong hardware management experience with HP desktops, notebooks and servers
- Knowledge of Video Editing Software such as Final Cut Pro, Edius, & Adobe Premiere
- Excellent communication, documentation, & customer service skills
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Must be able work in a fast paced environment and perform multiple tasks at once
- Able to lift 50 lbs. bend, kneel, squat, stand, climb, and operate basic hand tools
- Must have valid driver’s license
- We are willing to train the right candidate in certain areas

DESCRIPTION: A Technical Media Producer (TMP) is a hybrid position which includes the responsibilities of a Master Control Operator and a Technical Director. The TMP is responsible for directing live or pre-recorded productions as assigned, monitoring on-air streams, FCC logs, and ingesting daily programming/commercials. Daily assignments will include directing at least one newscast, ingesting/segmenting various long-form programs, ingesting commercial spots, loading programming playlists for the following day, and performing various tasks as needed.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Operation of Ross Overdrive automation (including robotic cameras, audio console, graphics, and production video switcher), and all supporting equipment in Production/Master Control; including the ability to effectively perform at the following: commercial/promo ingesting, satellite operation, program ingesting/segmenting, & a working knowledge of web production. Operation of Edius editing software, and studio teleprompter. Daily care & maintenance of equipment & studio. Work closely with all departments to meet daily demands. Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: Master Control and Live Production experience. Experience with production automation system like Ross Overdrive, ability to work under pressure, great communication/people skills, ability to multitask under time sensitive deadlines, strong technical & computer skills, flexibility with scheduling & job assignments, understanding of FCC program logs & all FCC broadcast regulations. Willingness to learn new hardware and software.

They will also be able to shoot, edit and write stories for multiple platforms including television, digital, and social media. Active live reporting will be in the field and studio. Must be open to a flexible schedule.
Degree in Journalism is preferred. Experience preferred but willing to give the right entry-level person a shot. Must have a clean driving record.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute policies and vision of the station as a member of the news management team

- Protect & promote station "brand image" within the newsroom; work with anchors, producers and reporters on delivering the stated hard news strategy with consistency in news presentation, writing, graphics & storytelling

- Oversee producers, reporters and anchors to insure and improve news content strategy execution
- Liaison with Digital Media Manager for web & social media efforts to produce/promote content on all platforms
