Allen Media Broadcasting is looking for a strong, high energy newscast producer for WKOW-TV in Madison, Wisconsin.

We are looking for a storyteller with solid news judgement and strong writing skills who can produce creative, compelling, and visually appealing newscasts every day.

Our producers contribute content on multiple platforms, including television, web, mobile and social media. A college degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field is preferred.

WKOW–TV in Madison, Wisconsin is looking for an ambitious, talented, and hard-working multimedia journalist for our award-winning news department.

This position requires on-air reporting, photojournalism and editing skills. The right candidate will excel at writing and visual storytelling for multiple platforms, including television, digital and social media. Active live reporting in the field and studio is a must.

Our MMJs enterprise compelling, lead-worthy stories every day and are expected to shoot, write, and edit their own stories.

Applicants should have a degree in journalism or a related multimedia field and prior on-camera professional experience.

WKOW, Madison, Wisconsin’s ABC affiliate, has a rare opening for an aggressive individual with strong news topical writing skills to join our Marketing and Creative Services Team as a Topical Writer/Producer. The successful candidate will write, produce and edit exceptional topicals and special promotable promotion. This position is responsible for developing consistently effective daily topical promotional spots for all WKOW newscasts. Other responsibilities will include creating Proof of Performance (POP) spots and production work in Marketing and Creative Services as needed. 

You must be able to write compelling marketing promos, collaborate effectively with newscast producers and reporters, and consistently push for the best video to sell the story.

REQUIREMENTS: 

Must be able to work quickly, handle multiple projects and meet strict deadlines under pressure. Preferred candidates will have a college degree and experience in advertising, marketing and/or communications, along with experience in non-linear editing and shooting. Knowledge of After Effects, Premiere, ENPS and Photoshop are a plus.
