WXOW News-19, is looking for an energetic creative professional to direct our weekend newscasts. This important position is responsible for directing live newscasts on the weekends and some weeknights along with quality control, appearance and graphic design of our on-air product. This full-time opportunity is a key part of our evening newscasts.

We are looking for a team player who can work well independently. We ask that you provide enthusiasm and have a passion for working in a fast-paced environment. Ideally, this person would have some experience directing, but on the job training is provided. Television experience is a plus. Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is a benefit.

The ideal candidate is someone who values accuracy and creativity. We are looking for someone who can produce dynamic and exciting newscasts every day that are also highly informative. The right person for this job should be an independent, strong writer who is creative, organized, and not afraid to be the leader of their show. Excellent time-management skills are a must.

A degree in journalism is preferred. Knowledge of Avid and iNews is a bonus. If you are willing to work hard and learn fast, this job is the perfect entry-level position.

WQOW, ABC affiliate in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is looking for a talented videographer who loves shooting and editing local news and sports. This is a full-time position.

You’ll work with a talented team of reporters and anchors who are passionate about producing high-quality television and web content.

Candidates will shoot and edit local high school and college sports for our newscasts, as well as contribute to our news coverage. Must be flexible with scheduling to accommodate breaking news and weekend sporting events. Experience with shooting and editing digital video to a professional standard and a basic knowledge of journalism is preferred.

This job is a great position to get your foot in the door and learn multiple aspects of the newsroom. Previous people in this position have also had fill-in opportunities on-air.

WQOW 18 is looking for an energetic creative professional to direct our weekend newscasts and assist in editing and creating graphics. This is a full-time position.

You will be responsible for the coordination and production of compelling live television newscasts and local programs. This important position is responsible for quality control, appearance and graphic creation of our on-air product. This position is a key part of our newscasts and programming.

The ideal candidate will have experience with live directing, excellent computer skills, strong communication skills and can be a leader in a studio environment. Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, along with knowledge of non-linear editing and graphics production. A two-year or four-year degree is preferred, but not required.
