WQOW Morning Anchor

The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, both oral and written

WQOW, an ABC affiliate in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is looking for a bright, energetic, and articulate anchor for our 2-hour morning show, “Daybreak”.

This is not an entry-level job. We are looking for someone with at least one year of experience anchoring, reporting, and/or producing a local television newscast.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. You will be able to maintain a professional appearance under all conditions, including breaking news and under deadlines. You will also have a passion for local news and a positive attitude.

In addition to anchoring, our Daybreak Anchors produce the show. There are also opportunities to pursue long-form reporting pieces under our “Digging Deeper” brand. WQOW is active in the community and our staff represents the station at several community events throughout the year.
