Multimedia Journalist


Mississippi TV, LLC in Tupelo-Columbus, Mississippi, has an immediate opening for a multimedia journalist.

Brief Description:

Duties required, but not limited to: Working knowledge of the news gathering process. Strong news judgment and knowledge of proper grammar are required. General knowledge of courts, local and state government preferred.

Must be able to shoot video with station cameras in addition to writing and editing packages, vo/sots and look lives. Must be able to report live from field as well as shoot your own live shot.  Must follow newsroom dress code to properly represent station on the air and in the field. Individual will post written, video and picture content across the multiple online platforms and social media sites.

Minimum Requirements:

To be successful in this position, individual must be able to perform each essential duty to his or her utmost ability. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.

Four-year college or university degree and/or previous experience in a television, print or web newsroom.

Pre-employment background check and drug test required. Must be a licensed driver and insurable for a motor vehicle.
