We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to assist in performing & coordinating accounting duties within our organization.  Must have a solid working knowledge of GAAP & strong financial analysis skills.    Should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized & able to work with little to no supervision.   

  Responsibilities:

*Assist the Business Manager with daily & month end duties

*Prepare financial analysis & reports

*Assisting with preparation & monitoring budget

*Maintaining & reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts

*Assisting with annual audit

*Perform other accounting duties & supporting the accounting staff and corporate as required

Requirements:

-BS in accounting or finance

-3+ years of accounting experience

-Working knowledge of GAAP

-Strong financial analysis skills

-Strong communications skills, both verbal & written

-Strong organization skills

-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

-Proficiency in Great Plains a plus

Job Requirements:

*Minimum 5 years Broadcast sales.

*Experience calling on local and regional advertising agencies.

*Understand Nielsen ratings and the nuances of negotiating agency business.

*Track record of success in Local Direct Business.

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

*Proficient in: Microsoft Power Point, Excel and Word.

*Experience with OSI, Ad Connections, Strata is a plus.

*Willing to have fun on the job while making some nice $$$.

The successful candidate will be able to write copy, shoot and edit video, front live shots, and publish digital content to the station’s website and social media platforms. The ability to serve as a fill-in anchor and producer is a plus. Must be self-reliant and have a willingness to enterprise unique local stories. Excellent writing skills, a smooth on-air presence, and a thorough understanding of modern journalism are a must.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be proficient in broadcast writing, videography, and nonlinear editing. Must be social media savvy and skilled in writing for online publication. Must be able to lift and carry professional camera gear. Must have clean driving record. Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have a college degree in journalism or communications, or equivalent professional experience. Must have a clean driving record and pass a background check and drug screening.

A minimum of one year of on-air experience as a reporter and/or anchor is preferred.

Run Master control with Harris Automation. Direct live newscasts with Ross Overdrive system. Use Photoshop and other editing software.
