WLFI-TV 18, the CBS Network Affiliate in West Lafayette, IN – the home of Purdue University,
has a career opportunity as a Multi-Media Journalist. We need a storyteller who understands
how to develop local contacts and generate community news.

Successful candidates must be able to shoot compelling video and interviews, report, write
clearly, voice and edit stories for broadcast and post content to the web. Applicants must
demonstrate ability to handle DV camera with hard drive, non-linear editing, laptop computer,
web cam, mics, cables and any other equipment needed to perform the daily duties of digital
news gathering. You must be prepared to perform multiple tasks and be able to work under
deadline pressure.

Four year college degree in broadcast Journalism and internship in TV news required. Must
have good driving record and valid driver’s license.

WLFI-TV is seeking a motivated Multi-media Consultant. You will be responsible for effectively maintaining and increasing revenue with established clients, as well as developing new business clients. Candidate must be able to develop relationships, have strong communication and organizational skills, and be able to create and deliver effective client presentations. Multi-media Consultants at WLFI are responsible for selling television and all digital platforms (WLFI desk top, app, tablet and mobile). We will provide training in all areas to help grow your abilities and ensure success.

As a WLFI Multi-media Consultant, basic computer capabilities in Microsoft Office are a must. A background in digital sales and marketing is a plus, sales experience is preferred. A valid driver’s license, state mandated automobile insurance and an acceptable driving record are also required. Individuals must be self-motivated, energetic, creative, and focused on success.
