KIMT-TV, an Allen Media Broadcasting station, is looking for an Assignment Manager to be based in our Rochester, Minnesota newsroom. This person will be heavily involved in managing the gathering of content--not only for our daily newscasts, but for all of our digital platforms.

We’re looking for someone who can help generate story ideas and also guide other staff members in completing assignments. Helping to set up interviews, staying on top of current events, confirming story information and tracking news crews in the field are part of the regular duties. Strong writing skills will be beneficial. Candidates need to be comfortable working under tight deadlines and handling breaking news situations and should enjoy working as a team in planning, coordinating, researching and executing newsroom strategies.

A four-year degree in Journalism or Communications is required.
