Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop engaging and accurate content concerning educational trends, policies, school activities, and related topics, tailored for a variety of platforms (TV, online, social media, etc.).
- Research: Stay updated on the latest educational developments, curriculum changes, and local educational challenges, especially those affecting Southern Illinois and the neighboring areas.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our news team, digital content experts, and other related departments to ensure cohesive content production and distribution.
- Community Engagement: Attend local school board meetings, educational forums, interviews, and discussions to produce localized and pertinent content.
- Feedback Management: Engage with the community and audience to obtain feedback, address concerns, and consistently elevate content quality and relevance.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled as a student at a local university. majoring in Education or a related program.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Aptitude for crafting content suitable for diverse platforms, including but not limited to TV, web, and social media.
- A profound understanding of educational topics, especially those significant to the Southern Illinois community.
- Ability to self-motivate, organize, and effectively manage multiple assignments concurrently.
- Familiarity with digital content creation tools and software is advantageous.
