POSITION:
IT/Engineering Technician
REPORTS TO:
Director of Operations and Technology (DOT)
JOB SUMMARY:
The IT/Engineering Technician works to maintain the station’s technical infrastructure in support of the
company’s goal of providing a quality product to our viewers and clients. He/she works in support of the
technical needs of every department within the television station. The IT/Engineering Technician helps maintain
the physical infrastructure. WTVA is a 24/7 operation and the Engineering Technician is required to be on-call as
needed.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:
- Repair, maintenance, installation and configuration of computers, software and network systems
- Repair, maintenance, installation and configuration of broadcast studio equipment
- Provide technical expertise to station personnel
- Physical plant maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience maintaining computer networks
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple project simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to remain focused in a high-paced/time-sensitive environment
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
