WCOV-TV is seeking a Master Control Operator (MCO). Responsibilities include
operation of “on air” television equipment and monitoring for quality control. MCO
record and playback programs with commercial inserts in a multi-channel, automated
broadcast environment.
Position Summary
ï‚· Must demonstrate a good working knowledge of computers and ability to work
with equipment in a complex technical environment. Broadcast experience is a
plus, but not required.
ï‚· Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
ï‚· Must be able to troubleshoot / problem solve, and work with strict deadlines.
ï‚· Must be detail oriented and able to manage multiple events simultaneously.
ï‚· College degree or technical education is preferred.
Shift available is Thursday from 5:30am to 2:30pm and Friday, Saturday, and
Sunday from 4:00pm to 1:00am
Occasional coverage for shifts other than the shift regularly scheduled may be needed at
times.
