Senior Producer, Lifestyle Content (Live Television)

The Senior Producer, Lifestyle Content will lead a team of people to produce content for television and digital platforms for KITV/KIKU.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Shape the look, feel and content of the program
  • Ensure high standards of production and editorial judgment.
  • Oversee and execute live production (“boothing”).
  • Work to manage staff, client, and guest schedules for the live show 
  • Produce program segments.
  • Create and manage relationships with clients and sales people.
  • Write and edit content for broadcast and digital platforms.
  • Enterprise stories and content.
  • Manage production schedules.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Ability to manage a complex process with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Long form or broadcast/news writing experience.
  • Live television production experience – directing, technical directing or producing preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills, including work processing, spreadsheets, and general communications.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, maintaining a positive rapport with staff, management and clients.
  • Proven record of dependability.
  • Ability to resolve various problems which require general knowledge of the company policies and procedures, while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Capable and willing to resolve unexpected problems and be flexible to manage unscheduled changes.
  • Possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
  • Substantial, sustained physical movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Ability to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction with good eye and hand coordination.

  • Ability to consistently work hours required. Works more when required to meet deadlines including weekends, evenings, etc.

  • Maintain confidentiality by not discussing internal matters, company strategies, client’s proprietary information, personnel matters, wage and salary information or any sensitive information with clients, competitors, listeners, the media or inappropriately with co-workers, and by not distributing our proprietary research or other information to our competitors.
