News Producer

WFFT-TV the FOX Affiliate in Fort Wayne, IN has an immediate opening for a strong Newscast Producer who knows how to create extraordinary newscasts. We are looking for a candidate who is competitive, exhibits a positive attitude no matter the challenge, excels in decision-making and demonstrates leadership in the newsroom. Our candidate must be able to incorporate station research and branding consistently to deliver dynamic newscasts.

Requirements:

4 year degree in Journalism, Communications or related field
Strong Journalistic skills and understanding of the tenants of professional Journalism
Be able to use local content and creative story-telling to create a compelling newscast
Comfortable delivery local content to digital and social media platforms
Knowledge of television production techniques and newsroom computer systems
Excellent copy-editing skills as well as writing spelling and grammar
Ability to multi-task
Excel in a high energy team environment
