The primary responsibility of the account executive will be to develop new business relationships and revenue for all station platforms. The preferred ideal candidate will have 2+ year of B2B experience with the ability to strategize and negotiate multi-platform sales projects. We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter, team player, has a great positive attitude, is organized, creative, and can thrive in a fast-paced multi-platform environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prospect, cold call, set appointments, and present and close new businesses to generate new advertising revenue.
- Increase existing business on all station platforms (KITV, Me-TV and Digital) to achieve individual and sales team budgets in all areas.
- Maintain and grow relationships with new and existing clients.
- Data entry in sales software for account management and organization.
- Write marketing proposals and create power point presentations.
- Communicate and plan effectively and be a great team player with KITV Sales Team, Creative Services, IT, and Newsroom.
Minimum Requirements:

The Traffic Specialist supports the traffic operations for KITV4, ensuring that all commercial and programming inventory is managed in accordance with all corporate policies and procedures, FCC guidelines, and network requirements. The Traffic Specialist supports the Traffic Manager oversee logs, and work with sales and other departments to maximize revenue for the station.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain commercial inventory traffic system.
- Work inventory to maximize all avails.
- Ensure that inventory control runs correctly.
- Ensure that daily program logs are produced in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintain an accurate 13-week commercial avail projection.
- Coordinate with sales by monitoring avails and informing sales management of current, future, or changed inventory and/or programming.
- Inform and coordinate with General Manager and department head regarding programming changes.
- Respond to Master Control to resolve any issues with logs.
- Ensure accuracy of coding / rates for commercial orders.
- Manage Wide Orbit formatting / program grid formatting.
- Assist in creating & assigning materials to orders and applying rotations of commercials on air.
- Implement fulfillment of affiliate, swap and syndicated contracts.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years in radio/traffic experience or similar professional experience.
- Experience with Wide Orbit strongly preferred.
- Ability to work with a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Work effectively in a team environment, maintaining a positive rapport with staff, management and clients.
- Proven record of dependability and willingness to work some evenings or weekends as workload requires.
