View Job DetailsWQOW, an ABC affiliate in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is looking for a bright, energetic, and articulate anchor for our 2-hour morning show, “Daybreak”.
This is not an entry-level job. We are looking for someone with at least one year of experience anchoring, reporting, and/or producing a local television newscast.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills, both oral and written. You will be able to maintain a professional appearance under all conditions, including breaking news and under deadlines. You will also have a passion for local news and a positive attitude.
In addition to anchoring, our Daybreak Anchors produce the show. There are also opportunities to pursue long-form reporting pieces under our “Digging Deeper” brand. WQOW is active in the community and our staff represents the station at several community events throughout the year.

We are looking for someone who will dig for stories, cultivate contacts, and engross themselves in our community. This position is great for someone who has a team attitude and can provide a confident, trustworthy, and fair presence both on-air and in the field. A successful candidate will work efficiently under pressure and within deadlines.
Requirements of this position include developing story ideas, writing, shooting, editing, and presenting stories online and on-air. This position requires on-camera photojournalism, and non-linear editing. Storytelling is valued. Fill-in anchoring opportunities are available.
Applicants must have a degree in journalism or a related multimedia field. Knowledge of digital best practices, and videography and editing preferred but not required.

View Job DetailsWXOW, the ABC affiliate in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is looking for a bright, energetic anchor for our 2 hour morning show, “Daybreak”.
You’ll be paired with established co-anchors and meteorologists to provide our viewers with overnight breaking news, weather and interviews. This is not an entry-level position and need at least one year of on-air experience. Familiarity with Wisconsin politics and issues is a plus, as is experience with iNews and Avid.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of anchoring, reporting and producing newscasts. This position is great for someone who has a team attitude and can provide a confident, trustworthy and fair presence both on-air and in the field. A successful candidate will work efficiently under pressure and be able to cover breaking
news.

View Job DetailsWXOW News 19 is looking for a full-time meteorologist to anchor our weather newscast. Successful candidate loves weather and can deliver an understandable accurate forecast. Position includes weekend fill-in, live breaking weather coverage, some reporting and organizing community weather promotional events.
We are looking for a person who embraces the challenge of forecasting four seasons, takes a leadership role in forecasting (especially during severe weather)and is committed to working as part of a team.
WXOW News 19 is committed to competing on all platforms: broadcast, web and social media. You need excellent communication skills. You will work with a professional forecast team using the latest version of The Weather Compan's MAX. We are equipped with MAX Studio, Storm, and Connect. You’ll also produce live and recorded weather updates for our radio partners. Commercial television experience and solid computer skills are required.
