View Job DetailsThe ability to run Master control, ingest media into servers, and monitor on air signal output are the main responsibilities. This position will also direct live news casts, and may perform various other tasks during live news broadcasts including audio operation. The candidate will prepare playlist and programs for next day air, and purge content from previous day’s logs. He / She must have good communication skills and the ability to react quickly to changes.
Ideal Candidates must be extremely detail oriented, have a strong desire to learn, be able to work under pressure as part of a team, and be able to work flexible hours. If you are an experienced Director and or Production assistant looking to become a Director, this job is for you.
Experience in Television Directing, is preferred. A college degree is recommended. Candidates must have a knowledge of computers and production equipment. The use of Adobe Photoshop, other editing software, as well as control room experience preferred. Experience with non-linear editing systems as well as a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is encouraged. Automation knowledge is a plus.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, skilled communicator who works with the team in the execution of News - and helps to motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
This position will:
- Monitor field production gear to ensure everything is working properly or is on track for repair by working with the Engineering staff
- Be responsible for helping the News Director approve timecards and manage overtime
- Shoot, capture and edit visual content for multiple platforms
- Train new staff on camera setups and video editing
- Have knowledge of and demonstrate creativity, editorial judgment, journalistic ethics and libel laws
- Be responsible for operating various news gathering equipment, including but not limited to Live U, video camera and video editing equipment
- Perform other news operations duties as needed
- Assist creative services department as needed
- Oversee Fleet Vehicles
Minimum 2 years of media/digital experience. Four year college degree in broadcast Journalism recommended but not required. Must have good driving record and valid driver’s license.

Required: 1 year of broadcast television news experience, 4-year college degree in broadcast news, a good driving record, and a valid driver’s license.
