KWWL, the NBC affiliate serving Iowa’s second largest DMA, is looking for an
ambitious, talented Freelance Sports Reporter/Multi-Media Journalist to produce content for our award-winning Friday Night Heroes Football Show. This is a Part-time seasonal position.

You’ll work with new, state-of-the-art HD cameras and editing equipment, producing
exciting content for our TV and web audiences.

You’ll enterprise, shoot, write and edit content for the longest running High School Football Show in the State of Iowa.

We’re looking for someone who is just as comfortable in a live ad-lib situation as they are with a script. Superior writing skills are key, as well as your ability to connect with the audience.

KWWL Television is seeking a motivated multimedia journalist who is passionate about shooting, writing and editing compelling material for multiple platforms. You will be joining a team of storytellers in our Waterloo, Iowa newsroom creating both on-air and online content. Candidates should be self-starters who can multitask well under pressure while meeting tight daily deadlines.

A college degree is required. Previous experience in a television newsroom environment is preferred. Candidates must be able to shoot video and edit in a non-linear format. Live reporting from news scenes is also a big part of this job. Fill in anchoring is also a possibility.
